HOUSING & LODGES
Housing (Lodges): 32 single storey fully accessible 1 and 2 bedroom lodges.
SINGLE STOREY HOUSING
By enhancing the existing rural setting of the site, the Veterans Village will provide 48 housing units with single storey lodges for single people and couples. The Village will provide housing for up to 120 ex-Service personnel and their families.
TRADITIONAL HOUSING
The traditional housing will offer 4 bedroomed fully accessible homes for families and also the opportunity for shared living providing a support network through mentoring.
THE DESIGN
The housing will incorporate innovative sustainable design features to reduce the cost of construction and maintenance, using technologies that help empower residents and connect them to outside resources.
